Paper stocking garland
I loved this idea that I saw in scrapbooks etc. magazine this month:
There are many ways you could do this: they suggested stuffing each one with cotton balls and a small treat. Their stocking were stitched together, I stapled mine. If you didn't want to do a countdown calendar, you could still create some for a great looking garland. Here is mine:
Some of my stocking have kid's recipes or activity pages in them. Here is the template I used for my stockings. Open the image in print-preview then englarge until it fills the page, print on cardstock and cut out (need 2 for each stocking). Use the leftover paper from each print-out to make the stocking toppers.

November 2011 DT Reveal- Kit #2
Just loved this new line by Echo Park. Perfect for all times and seasons, lol! And seriously who can get enough of that moustache paper, it is just too cool. I also loved the burlap tags that went along with this kit. I hope you enjoyed this kit as much as our design team did. Here is what they came up with!

December Daily
Have you created your December Daily? I think it is such a wonderful idea to create an album about one of the most festive months of the year. I love looking back on all of the adventures from holidays past. But I must admit, last year did not create a December Daily and I am still kicking myself. It can be time consuming and...well...I didn't have time. So this year I decided to make it easier by using one manufacture's line, so I didn't have to try to mix and match, and I stuck with the same page layout on each page of my album. I am very happy with how it turned out and will take the same steps next year when I create my 2012 December Daily. Here are a few pictures:
Here is my cover:
This is the layout I created on most all of the pages. Two pieces of patterned paper, one spot for journaling, and one spot for a picture. ( I chose one picture on purpose so I wasn't paying to develop 5+ pictures/ day for 25 days.)
I left a spot for a bigger picture on Christmas Day and added an extra page just in case I had another picture I had to add!
And I made my last page dedicated to journaling about our holiday!
So, I hope you can find the time to create your own December Daily if you haven't done so already!
I hope everyone has a safe and blessed holiday season!!

Holiday Spirit
I wanted to share a few holiday layouts with you to get you in the holiday spirit. So, turn on some Christmas music, get out your scrapping supplies, and lock the door : )
This is one of my favorites using a 8x10 TTT transparency:
We make ALOT of cookies!
I love including my daughter's artwork on my pages:
It's always such a chore getting a good holiday picture!
And the best part is they were all created using past TTT kits! Don't you just love TTT kits!!!

Flea Market Finds
My good friend was having a sale of items she found at a flea market. When I saw them I knew I had to have them for my mini albums. All I needed were "S" hooks and I had a new, vintage, display for my mini albums. Here is what I found:
Here is an old shutter. Someone had added an old garden wire to the bottom to create a basket. I added "S" hooks to the shutter and then to the round closure of my mini albums. I also put some of my minis in the basket! New display- $5!
Here is an old fence turned in to an adorable shelf. New display- $5
And here is a vintage garden basket. I used the swirls at the top to hook to my minis and will use the basket at the bottom to hold them too. New display- $5
So the next time you are out at a flea market look for some new inspiration to add to your scrap room. You never know what you will find! Happy hunting : )
