Shabby chic card

Let's make this shabby chic card - no pattern paper required!

First you will need some mists - Maya Mist or Glimmer Mist or anything similar will do.

Next, you will need a card base (I used kraft cardstock) and some masks.  Arrange the masks however you'd like.  Also make sure your work surface is well covered.
Now spray with multiple colors being careful not to overlap each color too much.
Now blot any extra ink off and remove the masks.
Next ink a large background stamp (I recommend using staz-on or another waterproof ink in case your card is still damp), and stamp as many times as it takes to cover the entire background.
Now add a cluster of embellishments and Viola,  you are done!

Pocket Card - STEP by STEP

Pocket Card

Instructions
1. Start by cutting a 4x12 piece of double-sided patterned paper.
2. On the side that you want to be the inside of the card, score at the 4-inch and 8-inch mark vertically.
3. Fold the left-most portion over the middle portion. On the right-most portion, I've drawn a line here to indicate where I will be cutting (from the top-left corner to the bottom-right).
4. Cut as indicated. Apply glue to the bottom of the triangle only.
5. Fold the triangle over the middle section (lift up the other side first) and press to adhere the glue, creating the pocket.
6. Embellish as desired.
7. Fill pocket!
This card was made with TTT May kit 2010 #1.

Thank you cards with TTT bracket blocks

by Nathalie

Have you been spoiled during the Holidays? Then, you probably need to send a few Thank you cards! (~ and if you haven't been spoiled maybe it's because you didn't send any thank-yous last year! :D just kidding!).
Here are a couple of examples I created using the TTT Thank you Bracket blocks that are available in the store (8 for $2.65). They are loosely based on the pagemaps sketch below (rotated to fit the bracket block):

Bonus: All I used was scraps from past TTT kits and a few extra embellishments!

I hope to have inspired you to give the TTT brackets a try for your card making!

Card Corner by Chrystal Riddell

Want to make your holiday cards this year but just don't have much time or a big budget? Grab a simple sketch, find patterned paper that has a repeating design element that you can cut up, and use it like you would a die-cut. Every card doesn't need to be identical. This makes it fun and personal to send a different card to everyone on your list, and it won't break the bank. The snowman and cocoa mug squares shown here are from Pinecone Press, and one sheet of paper has 12 elements on it! Use more of the paper, stamps, or rub-ons for the sentiment.

Card Ideas

by Nathalie

Chrystal Riddell was inspired by TTT transparencies and Becky Fleck's sketches (at www.pagemaps.com) to make a couple of cards for us.
Here she used the You & Me pocket block and added a flower embellishment right on top of it. I love the contrast of the bright papers and the black transparency.

On this other great card, Chrystal used part of the Doodle Art10- Journal Cards Transparency. She cleverly added her sentiment and enhanced her big flower at the same time by adding the transparency under it.

If you are interested in purchasing those transparencies you can find them here: http://qbaroo.com/transparenttouchestags/

Thank you Chrystal for your creative cards this month!

Card Ideas: One sketch...4 cards!

Card Ideas using TTT Thought Blocks!
by Lindsey Krauss

Go to the TTT store (please link http://www.qbaroo.com/transparenttouchestags/ ) and scroll down the left side to THOUGHT BLOCKS. These cards are made with just one of the many types of Thought Blocks.

Autumn, baby, boy, girl, Christmas, dad, family, grandparents, Halloween, happiness, marriage, mom, ocean/beach, outdoors, summer, school and winter. Looking for one that’s not here? Talk to store owner and transparency designer, Monica, and she’ll design to suit.

For now, here are some small format cards, or as I like to call them “mini cards” and a sketch to get you going with these perfectly sized Thought Blocks. I found it best to use patterned paper as your card and bland cardstock behind the transparency to make your thought pop.
All of the cards shown here are designed using this sketch below!
Here are some cards using past and present TTT kits – look!
You can get four cards from one Thought Block! Enjoy!
