June Kit Contest: Lift to your heart's content!

by Nathalie
I just realized that we hadn't had a scraplifting contest in a very, very long time here, so for June, your challenge is to select a project from the past two months (you can go as far back as April 1st) in the TTT User Gallery (use the "last uploads" tab to find the latest projects). It can be any type of projects in the Gallery, posted by the DT or by a member, and scraplift it ~as much or as little as you wish!
Have fun with it! Just make sure to let us know what project inspired you!

Details:
You need to use a current or past kit from Transparent Touches, and when you share your project with us, please specify which kit(s) you have used.
Due date for this contest is midnight PST JULY 10TH! Winner will be determined by random drawing.
You can enter as many times as you like (2 page LOs count as one entry).
You can post your project two ways: share it with us in the comment section of this post by linking your layout from another gallery or your personal blog or post it in this thread on the message board. We look forward to seeing your entries.
If you have any questions, feel free to post them here. Have fun creating!

PS: Remember that you can still participate in the May contest until the 10th of this month!

Monthly Sketch Layouts-April 2011

Every month the Design team creates a layout with their kits all using the same sketch. It is alot of fun to see the different interpretations of the same sketch. This month we chose an 8.5x11 page layout sketch from Pagemaps if you have never visited her site she has different sketches debuting the first of every month plus loads of fun on her blog. Make sure to check them out!!!

Mini-album Mania!

I love making mini-albums because I get to use up leftover paper (which I know we all have), and because they can be quick and easy to make. Since space is limited, embellishments can be kept to a minimum. Cutting shapes from leftover paper works great for this and simple things like rhinestones and buttons are a perfect complement. It's also a good idea to add in a few premade journal cards since journaling in a mini-album can be a challenge. Sometimes I like to print my pictures first but oftentimes I'm not that organized so just leave enough space for a small photo (or two) to fit. Now the only thing left to do is print some wallets (see my previous post here on how to make your own wallet photos).

Here are some examples to get you started:
All of these albums were $1 at Michaels, but I've also seen cheap ones at Target too!

GO FISH
This album would be great for a kid who loves to swim, a trip to the aquarium, or about fishing!
