What A Catch!

TTT had an awesome Spring crop last month and so I thought I would take the time to highlight a few layouts that were uploaded for the crop. TTT's customers and visitors really are a talented group!

#1-Remember When by mamadonald

I love the vintage feel of this layouts with the older photos and all the florals. It's just a beautiful page to look at and admire. I love it!

#2-Blue Tongue by Scrappin_in_AK

This page really pops to me! It is so fun from the photos to the colors used to the interesting title letters. This is a really eye catching page all around!

#3-4th of July by Annabanana

I love the simplicity of the design. I love the way the photos were cut and how the paper was layered with the title and all. It's a really great page.

These ladies did amazing pages as well as many others. If I could I would feature many more. Thanks to all the people who participated in our online crop last month and shared their work with us!

What a Catch!

by Nathalie

Hi there TTT fans!
We just had our Spring Bling Crop which means that the User gallery is FULL of new pages and is overflowing with inspiration. I highly recommend you checking it out! It was hard to limit myself to only three but here are a few that caught my eye:

"It must be Spring" by scrappin_in_AK

I love the creative work behind this page! My favorite part is the stitched circles framing the photos and how they add pops of colors to a black and white page. The photo is adorable too!

"Goofin off in the 40's" by mamadonald

I admire the whole vintage feel of this page (and am a bit jealous because I can't do that!). The old photos, the colors, the misting, the flowers, the swirls of different textures, the interesting design make this page magazine worthy in my opinion! I just love it!

"4th of July" by annaBananna

Totally my kind of design! So much so that I want to scraplift it! I love the four vertical and rounded photos with the journaling in between! The papers and embellishments give this page a great "americana" look that is perfect for the subject!

Great job ladies!!! Thank you for inspiring me and for sharing your talents with us!
I will be back later to share new tags using TTT transparencies.

What A Catch

Wow ladies. There were so many fabulous layouts in the gallery! Here are three layouts that caught my eye.

First, this layout by mamadonald is SO eye-catching. I love the cool blue colors of the papers and embellishments. It really gives you a feeling of winter. I also love how she layered the flowers and snowflakes. The lace and bling are a perfect touch as well. But most of all, what an ADORABLE picture!!!Second, is this super, fun layout by prittb. What a terrific boy pate. I love the fun characters on the patterned paper. I also love how she tilted one piece of patterned paper. It really draws your eye around the whole layout. The title in the cloud is an adorable touch. I especially love all the bright, fun colors.
Finally, who can resist this lovable layout by scrapMel. I love the design she used. What a great way to include so many pictures of such a sweetie! I love the soft colors with the pop of red. It is such a clean, simple, yet stunning, layout!
Thanks for all the inspiration ladies!

What A Catch!

TTT recently hosted a weekend crop and I picked three layouts from this crop to showcase. There were so many talented pages and people participating in this crop to narrow it down to three but here are the ones that caught my eye and why.

Created by Marilyn(former TTT DT member):

I love the title and the photos are so awesome. It makes me smile to see kids playing around and it's fun to capture those moments so you can scrap them. I love the color scheme and the splash of red really catches your eye and makes the whole page pop. Great page Marilyn!

Created by Marge37:

I am in awe of these beautiful fall photos. The colors are so beautiful and you matched the pics up perfectly with papers and embellies. I love the scattered buttons and the leave accents. Great page Marge!

Created by Jude:

I love the layered strips of paper. I love the color choice as well. The journaling touches me as I think a lot of Moms have this fear. I love the blue/yellow title as it just pops on the page and matches the patterned paper so well. Great page!!!!

What a Catch!

With so many great layouts from the TTT monthly contests and challenges it was hard for me to narrow it down to just 3. So I picked 3 fun summery layouts and 1 altered item that caught my eye. With summer in full speed there has been alot of orange on layouts lately. I love how the color orange brings such a fun, happy feeling to a layout! So here are my 3 summery pics from the TTT gallery.

The Mask by toni-n-tn: Love the orange paired with teal. That big wave gives it a great summery feel too! A scraplifter for sure!

Cousins by Scrapmel: Love the orange patterned paper as the background here. And who doesn't love the use of the TTT journaling block? Cute page and pictures!

Petting Zoo by Marge: Not alot of orange but just the right amount to POP! And aren't those pictures just adorable. I love how you put the circles behind the title. Great idea!

Wall hanging by Jonna: Ok no orange here but I love the vintage colors she chose mixed with the red. It's perfect for a husband gift. It's fabulous!

What a Catch!

It’s no secret that scrapping in July is one of my all-time favorite occurances! I adore the 4th of July celebrations – I try to hit as many as I can each year. We’re often either watching baseball or playing it, usually fit in a camping trip or two, and summer fun is in full effect around my house, 24/7! These were my inspirations in going to search TTT’s gallery for “Catches” this month – 4th of July, sports and summer fun! Ready?

1. While I completely urge you to go search ‘4th of July’ in the TTT gallery, I had to pick an oldie for my Independence Day inspirations. This layout by Jackie (funhockeymom) is one of my favorites –you really have to be brave and bold to combine stars, eyelets and waves on a layout!

4th of July in Philly by funhockeymom

By the way, come by the site – June had everyone madly ‘waving’ in the Use Your Kit Monthly contest!

2. Sports inspiration is next (as the ball game is blaring behind me on the tv!) Okay, I had to go with another oldie, but goodie! Christy aka ~christy~ brings tons of summer sports fun into the gallery. It was hard to pick just one of hers, but I had to go with a rare color combo – rare to see, great for summer – girl does bright and bold like no other! Christy’s summer sports work also reminded me, that with 1 T-ball game left in the season, I need to get down and dirty with that camera, sparing no field dust, dugout shot or game tradition!

SuperStar by ~Christy~

3. Summer outside makes me think of one thing first – water!! Pools, sprinklers, lakes, beaches – it all counts in July! Check out this brand new and simply adorable catch by dt gal Chrissy this month, using the June kit!

Joy by Chrissy

Thanks for catching my attention. For your chance at What a Catch!, post your layouts in the TTT User Gallery and visit us on the message board!

Transparently Yours, Lindsey

If you have not yet done a SEARCH in the TTT User Gallery via keywords, it’s must! Super easy and totally inspirational for whatever project you’re working on!

What a Catch! by Chrissy

Rozy- “God’s Great Outdoors”
I don’t know about you but one of my biggest challenges is including several pictures on a one page layout. Rozy is notorious for creating such layouts and this one is no exception. I love how she included all of the pictures of her beautiful flowers. The design of the round clock head with the circle of pictures is flawless. The large circular picture in the center pulls the layout all together into a classic look. The placement of the title and transparency is also wonderful. Thanks for all of your inspiration Rozy!

annaBananna- “Lil Helpers”
I loved this layout the first time I saw it. The colors are so wonderful and the design is incredible. I love the decorative ribbon Anna added at the bottom of her page. It really makes all the colors POP! I also love the use of black and white photos. It also makes the colors really POP! I love how she created the look of a file folder behind her pictures. All-in-all it is a fabulous layout Anna.

Bassetsnbrits- “Our Little Monkey”
I just love the colors that Kim used in her layout. They are so bright, vibrant, and FUN! I also love how she outlined her picture with fiber. The overall design is wonderful. I love how the title and journaling design pull your eye right to the picture. What a fabulous layout Kim!

What a Catch

What a Catch! There have been some great additions of layouts into the TTT gallery this month. I love all the springy layouts and springy, bright, fun colors. If you get a chance to stop by the User Gallery check them out and leave some love. Otherwise here are 3 layouts that really caught my eye this month!

Marge: A Moment in Time
I absolutely love everything about this layout; the colors, the bright teal blue with the sepia picture, the shiny blue glitter on the swirls, the clocks, the title, everything! It all works together so nicely. Great job Marge!

annaBananna: NHM
I love the springy colors mixed with the black and white on the kraft cardstock. The bright yellow and butterfly just seem to pop off the page at you. I love the journaling all around the photo block too. Great job with the Pagemaps sketch Anna!

Bishopsmommie: My Cool Chick
I love how springy and fresh this layout is with its bright, fun colors, adorable pictures, and beautiful flower. The repeating circles of fun patterned paper are a great addition to the layout. Great job Tina! I can't wait to see more layouts from you!

Pumpkin Patch by Stotgirl (Taryn)
I Especially like the brown title on the brown background and that scalloped edge is fabulous! (I would also like to mention that she did a great job with the Pagemaps sketch she used.)

Q&A by Nikkilove (Nik)
I love the way Nik chose to do her journaling and her choice of bright and fun papers maker her cute photo pop. The embellies add a nice movement to the page also. (Nik you also did a great job with the Pagemaps sketch too!)

U Spin me Right round Baby! by 1bizeemom
And Finally this layout just makes me smile! It almost looks like the kids are in a wahing machine! LOL! The bright colors add to fun and title is perfect.

What a Catch!

Look what caught our eye in Transparent Touches' gallery lately!

"Sky" by Lisawd

Can you see how Lisa's choice of papers and background brings out

Sky's blue eyes hence accentuating how she got her name? Love that!

The flowers going across the page are superb and the color combination

is one of my favorites!

“Crawl Away” by Bessie

The title definitely caught my attention on Bessie's page. I love that

it follows the curve of the circle and how she doodled on the alpha

stickers to make them stand out even more. I like the slant of the

photos and the cute strips of patterned papers behind are just perfect

for her subject!

"Altered Lunch Box" by Sneakybacon

I enjoy altered projects and even more so when they are this

practical! Tammy (a.k.a. sneakybacon) did an awesome job decorating a

lunch box to put away her dies. What a great idea! And she used the

pretty papers from her August TTT kit to do so :)

Thank you all for sharing your creations with us!

What a Catch!

Look what caught our eye in Transparent Touches' gallery lately!

Emelyn- Our Baby Boy
I just adore this LO. The colors are great and I love the use of multi photos, yet the LO doesn’t feel packed. I love the use of the metal and chipboard as well. The distressing adds a nice touch as well and makes certain elements pop!
Great LO Emelyn!

Mona- Sing Star
This LO just pops! I love the paper layering and the small touches such as the staples and the brads strategically placed. I love the twine running across the photo as well. This LO is just great.
Thank you for sharing your talented pages with us Mona!

Venturi (Barb)- Always and Forever
I love the circle background as well as the 3 pictures displaying the ring and their parts. The bling is a wonderful touch for a ring LO. I love how you did the title too! It’s a wonderful page to show off! I like the writing on the picture too, giving it a personal touch.
What a wonderful page Barb!

What a Catch! by Nathalie

For What a Catch November
Halloween Haunted House mini album by Rozy (ROZY)
Let me start by saying I love mini-albums (only scrappers would understand this bumper sticker!) and this Haunted House by Rozy definitely caught my eye in the TTT Gallery. I love the album she used and the fact that it has different shapes in it. Rozy did a great job adding tons of photos in it and embellishing it. The fact that it covers 10 years of her grandson’s Halloween makes it even more special. Love it!

For What a Catch November
“Lovin’ you” by Mona (Mon@)
I have always been a fan of Mona’s work and, once more, I admire the page that she recently shared with us. I especially like the softness that emanates from it. Its simple design makes your eye focus on the photo. I also love the fact that she hid her journaling on a tag behind the photo. Great job!

For What A Catch November
“Party on the beach” by Kimberly Archer (kimberlyatiga)
What can I say, this page by TTT DT alumni Kimberly makes me happy. I love that it has both bright colors and a weathered look which are perfect for a beach side photo. Notice how she used strips of patterned papers matching the colorful houses. And last but not least, check out the stitching. It frames the page, anchors the ribbon and adds texture. Love the stitching!

Anna- “Rocking Chair” by annaBananna
What a great idea to scrap a page about an item that brings back so many memories. I love how she made a collage with four pictures to present it in a grander scale. The colors are so bright and cheerful and really make the picture pop! The overall design is flawless!

Heather- “You are my …” by bowserbrood
I just love the look of collages and this layout is a great example. It is so simple but really makes a statement. The colors are perfect together and the choice of patterned paper is awesome. They are all so bright and fun. All of the embellishments are placed perfectly around the page and the picture is priceless. This is definitely one to scraplift!

Marge- “Princess”
I love this layout by Marge. I love the heritage photo with the soft colors she chose. I also love the fiber. It adds real character to her page. The rub-ons and felt stars finish off a beautiful design. I also love how she cut her journaling block in half. What a great idea!

The embellishments are placed perfectly and really lend to the feeling of the layout. Thanks for sharing such a precious layout Mona. I have always been a fan of your work!

“1 Magic Moment” by Angela (aloughridge)

What caught my eye about this layout was the simple, wonderful design. I love how the patterned paper and picture stand out from being cropped on black cardstock. I also love that she used a black and white picture. The different fonts used for the title are awesome as well as the journaling strips. The overall design is very eye-pleasing! Thanks for sharing such a wonderful layout Angela.
