May Project~Toilet Paper Roll Mini Album

by Nathalie

Supplies:
- toilet paper rolls (I used 6)
- paint or ink
- patterned papers
- cardstock
- ribbons
- 1 ring
- hole puncher and small circle punch
- strong adhesive

1/ Flatten the empty rolls of toilet paper as much as possible. I left them under a pile of books overnight. Then ink or paint the edges.

2/ Cut enough pieces of patterned paper to cover both sides of each rolls (unless you plan on covering a whole side with a photo – see farther below). I have discovered that the size of the rolls varies slightly by brand (who knew!) but my papers are 4 1/8 X 2 ¾.

3/ Cut your tags out of cardstock (one tag per roll). My tags measure 3 ¾ X 2 5/8.

4/ You can now design your pages by adding photos, embellies, stickers, alphas and journaling (I printed mine on the computer).

5/ Make a hole through each roll for the ring and add a notch, if you’d like, on the tag side (I used a small circle punch to do it). Add ribbons to your tags and glue the ends of the rolls on the ring side.

Here are some inside views of my finished project:
As you can see here, you can also print a photo to cover the whole side of the roll.

So start saving those toilet paper rolls and let’s see what you can create with them!
